Year 1 Photography
Research
For this brief I have to produce a photographic essay exploring a subject of my choice. The final essay should consist of 15-30 images that show a clear theme throughout.
The images will be assessed for technical competence, imagination and how well the final work represents my initial idea. I will also be assessed on the accompanying documentation that shows the research and methods I employed in the creation of my photo essay.
For my essay I have decided to take photographs of a persons hands as they engage in the the hobby or past time that they enjoy. While I these photos will represent the activities that these people engage in I will use the same persons hands for each photo and stage the activity.
After coming up with my initial idea I decided to research the field of hand portraits and of people been photographed while playing games, the guitar etc. I used the internet to look for artists and found the following that gave me some inspiration or represented the outcome i am trying to achieve.
